I BOUGHT THIS MACHINE FOR MY 7&8 Y/O MACHINE PITCH TEAM TO PRACTICE WITH. AFTER TRYING TO SET THE MACHINE UP, AND HITTING MY OWN KID TWICE WITH WILD PITCHES I FIGURED THIS WAS MORE OF A LAWSUIT WAITING TO HAPPEN THAN A TRAINING AID.

The pitching machine does a good job, used it with my little league team this year and in two weeks of practices there was a marked improvement in their batting abilities. While a lower priced machine, it gets the job done especially when used with a batting cage which id highly recommend. Also the realistic looking slider balls fly more consistently than do the lighter types you can get. The only draw back i found is it does not like throwing real baseballs which sometimes hang up the system. I'd recommend for the price.

I practice hitting off of this machine almost every day because i wasn't a great batter but 2 days after i got it, i hit 2 doubles in a game and immediatly saw an improvement in my batting. I can practice hitting fast balls on it and inside and outside breaking balls. It is awsome!!!!

All of the place out of 12 pitches it threw one strike, will go over your head, in the dirt, ouside , directly at you. Actually it is dagerous.
I returned it complete piece of junk.

This ineffective piece of junk is dangerouse to youth hitters! I followed all directions exactly. Out of a dozen pitches it threw 2 in the strike zone, 3 in the dirt, 3 over my kids head, one hit his arm guarding his face,and 3 way outside. A longer barrell wuold help the accuracy a lot. Its like long range target practice with a snub nose.keep your $!

I purchased the Slider with the Soft Slider Balls for my sons' birthday. We set it up and couldn't believe how nice it was. I have a nice large basement and the Soft Slider Balls are perfect because when they hit the walls, the balls act like a cushion and just glance off. We have had so much fun with the Slider and my son's hitting has improved tremendously.

I too bought a Slider about 6 months ago and the motor cut out on me; however, the machine comes with a 1 year warranty and I sent it in to be fixed. The one thing the factory told me was that some of the first units had a speed control put in backwards that caused the machine to stop working. This happened radomly at about 2% of the units. The factory said they had redesigned the location of the speed control so it couldn't be assembled wrong anymore. When I got my fixed Slider back I noticed they had replaced the entire motor cover and speed control. Since then, my new Slider has worked incredibly. I recommend a Slider for everyone. Trend Sports customer service was incredible.

We purchased the Slider in early spring. We used it pre-season for additonal hitting practice. After the regular season, my son wanted to brush up for All-Stars so we set it up again. The motor stopped spinning as fast as it should and would only throw a ball about 10 ft after about 15 inutes of use. It appears to be a motor or electronic problem. [...] The machine was not used heavily and should not be having these problems at this stage. Certainly not for [$].

Agree, this machine BEWARE. Motor died after about 3 hours of use. Overall, great machine, but wish it could have lasted.

My 7 yr. old summed this product up "that was a waist of your money." I should have stopped putting it together when I found the "Addendum extra parts." This machine was out of control and dangerous, there was positively no accuracy or consistency. The machine would vibrate out of it's set up and balls would go anywhere.

First off this is a great beginner tool. My boy is 9 and in L League in 3 days worth of use he has improved drastic. Now I know one flaw is the auto ball feeder doesn't wait 9 sec like advertised so I feed manually when my son is ready. This helps him to step out of the box then back in which gives the machine time to speed back up. Secondly when pitching a 25 mph from 46 feet is equivelant to a 50+ mph pitch from 60'-6" which is the big league kids throwing 65mph in LLeague 11-12 is like a 90mph FBall in the majors. It does have flaws but you get what you pay for.

I gave it a one because rating system does not go any lower. It worked great the first two times we used it. The motor died 5 minutes into the third use. We won't get another one of these machines and will probably avoid this manufacturer.

It worked for about 1/2 hour before the motor blew. When it was working, I was impressed with the speed and accuracy of the pitching. I'll exchange it and hope I just got a defective model.

I purchased one for my two sons. We used it the first day and it was working great. We went to use it the second day and it quit working. We exchanged it for a new machine, which would not pitch the balls out at all and appeared to slowing down the more we used it. I'm very unhappy with this product.

I purchased the Slider Pitching Machine for my son, age 8, and I was very pleased with the ball speed of this machine. Many other machines at this price only throw about 40 MPH, but the Slider throws slower or faster and is very accurate as well. No other machine at this price even compares to the features of the Slider.

I bought the Slider for my son for Christmas. We loved the machine so much, I just purchased the Heater Batting Cage to go along with it. I highly recommend the Slider.

I purchased the slider pitching machine for my 7 year old who will be playing machine pitch baseball this year. I set the machine up in our basement and used a Franklin 36' batting cage. With the machine setup outside the net and pitching from a distance of 42 feet the machine set on 1 which is the lowest setting it has is easily throwing 50 mph. This is way to fast for my son to begin with. The scale on the motor says that setting 2 = 25mph which is totally incorrect unless they are throwing from a 60 ft distance. I am exchanging it hoping this one is just defective.
