Comments about Crosman Crosman SASR36 Tactical Airsoft Rifle:

this is a good gun but it needs some sturdier parts. Lighten the up the stock! the second month i had it the stock cracked and it couldnt be used. the tactical light atashment didnt work that well either. but the light worcks perfectly. the price was ok for the gun. i would recomend this gun for a unexperienced airsofter.

Comments about Crosman Crosman SASR36 Tactical Airsoft Rifle:

The compensator broke quickly, but I did not mind much because it is purely for aesthetics. Gets jammed up every so often. Moderate range and accuracy compared to other spring guns. The light was surprisingly bright and is now on another one of my guns.

Not worth the money.
By MedicVerified Reviewer from Northbrook, IL on 6/12/2008
Pros:
Bright flash light, Easy To Load, Has a nice kick, High Velocity, LIGHT WEIGHT, Optional stock silencer
Cons:
Inaccurate, Limited range, No functional iron sights, No hop up, Scope/Sight Is Off
Best Uses:
Backyard, Practice, Target Shooting
Describe Yourself:
Recreational User
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Comments about Crosman Crosman SASR36 Tactical Airsoft Rifle:

In all honesty there are better airsoft merchandise to spend this much money on. I'll begin with explaining the pro's:
- The magazine is very simple. After fiddling around with it and learning what each part does, you can load it very quickly. It doesn't carry a lot of BB's, but with a spring powered gun who needs 300 rounds?
- This thing shoots faster than my electric MP5 (it was cheaper than this gun, mind you). I was rather impressed upon realizing that this springer bested my AEG in terms of FPS (feet per second).

- The outer frame of this gun is all plastic. It's very light weight and easy to carry around, but doesn't give the gun a realistic feel to it.

- The flashlight, to me, is probably the only decent accessory on the gun. It's very bright, and it should work well in dark places. The fact that it's removable means you can use it for everyday things

- The stock and silencer are a nice visual addition. The stock allows better aim and control of the gun. A bit of warning, the stock can break off the gun quite easily so don't drop it. The silencer, of course, DOES NOT WORK. It is merely for show and can be screwed on and off the gun. I have nothing to say about the attachable scope here.

- Surprisingly, this gun's recoil is actually detectable. The whole gun almost jumps once you pull the trigger and it feels very nice.
-------------------------------------------------
And now for the con's:
- Now I won't say it's completely inaccurate, but rather unreliable mostly due to certain design flaws of the gun's external features.

- Others have pointed this out before, and I wholeheartedly agree with them; the attachable scope is WAY OFF. It is virtually as nonfunctional as the silencer. I believe the reason for this is that the top mounting rail is not properly aligned with the rest of the gun.

- From all the time I've owned this gun, I have found no evidence of a hop-up. The hop-up is an internal part of the gun that puts a back-spin on the BB being shot. This spin temporarily counteracts gravity and serves mainly to increase range. However, hop-up cannot compensate for wind, it's function is strictly to control the vertical stability of the BB. Because of the absence of a hop-up, you'll see that, unless you point the gun up at an angle, the BB's will quickly plop to the ground. This goes hand-to-hand with the flaw of having a very limited effective range.

- The fact that there is no functional rear site to work with the front iron sight greatly reduces the aiming capability of this gun. You practically have to guess where the BB will go judging by where the barrel's pointed. So unless you've shot the gun so many times that you've developed a feel for where it'll shoot, you have no way of properly aiming this (as if aiming by heart is any more proper). If this gun did have a working aiming device, then I would consider its potential accuracy.

Conclusion:
Read this far, huh? Don't worry I'm almost done. My verdict: below average. There are nice aspects here and there, but there are too many significant downsides that makes this gun nearly useless. You're better off buying something else. If you do end up with this gun, it's best suited as a backyard plinker - shooting cans, paper targets, watermelons (though not quite as fun as Mail Call), etc. All things considered though, this gun still has a special place in my heart because it was one of my first airsofts :)

REMEMBER: If you're looking for an automatic airsoft gun, make sure that it is electric powered! Don't make the same mistake I made!

Best Uses:
None whatsoever
Describe Yourself:

Bottom Line:

Comments about Crosman Crosman SASR36 Tactical Airsoft Rifle:

I bought this gun in hope that it might be good enough to play with people with pistols.... NOT!
This gun was an absolute disgrace to the minute I opened it. The sling snapped off, the flashlight broke, and the ammo sometimes shoots back up from the magazine. This is probably the suckiest gun I have ever purchased in my whole life. Believe me, I am not the person to exaggerate. But I am not lying or a person that did this for fun. PLEASE RETHINK BEFORE PURCHASING!

Comments about Crosman Crosman SASR36 Tactical Airsoft Rifle:

Be warned.
This toy will NOT compete against an Echo-1, UTG or Juan-Gung product for a similar proce. Crosman has not adapted industry-standard components such as the V2 gearbox or one-piece adjustable hop-up unit yet, nor have they even given thought to making their guns Marui-compatible for magazines.

Muzzle velocity is laughable, even compared to most quality spring pistols. Rate of fire is barely acceptable for CQB situations where this gun might have had a chance at performing.
This is the gun you give to a 9-year-old kid who wants a neat toy gun that shoots something, but you're worried about him being responsible.

By Santa from Nowhere, Texas on 11/25/2007
Pros:
Good begginers gun, looks cool
Cons:
Difficult To Reload, HUGE clip, Inaccurate, Scope/Sight Is Off, Seals Leak, Small clip capacity, Too expensive
Best Uses:
Backyard
Describe Yourself:
Recreational User
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Comments about Crosman Crosman SASR36 Tactical Airsoft Rifle:

Bad price, a pistol for the same amount or less would work better! The clip is huge, but it only holds 20 bbs, and that goes WAY too fast, then it's hard to reload and slow unless you have a speed loader. It doesn't shoot 260fps, and it curves around 40 feet.

When I first got the gun I wanted to see how accurate it was and loaded it and took it to my basement. (I had a sticky target there) The distance was about 20 feet. The gun missed every time. The gun severely lacks power. During the following week the gun slowly broke apart starting with the stock, then the silencer and so on. Save your money, don't buy this gun.

Comments about Crosman Crosman SASR36 Tactical Airsoft Rifle:

I just got this gun, paid my money, and opened it up. The attachments were pretty easy to put on, I spent about 20 minutes getting a feel to the gun, and decided to take it outside for some shooting tests. I had no more .20s so I had to use my .12s(doesnt make that much of a difference with all the reviews I read.) So i use my .12s and i cant even hit my b-ball goal. The aiming system was so confusing, I even used the hop-up feature. I hit my what 3 foot goal about 3 out of 10 times. I couldn't even see my bbs, until i found them hitting the right,(4 feet off, but it might have just been that i was on my balcony). So I went downstairs to go outside to reinact a war scene with the goal being my enemy. It didnt work. It was kinda hard to cok it, so I sat down to make a conclusion on how I could use this gun. I thought, you know I might just give it another try, I took it, cocked it, and Phewwww, that was the sound that meant that it jammed. :(. I was unhappy, I spent 3 hours trying to get that bullet out. It just didnt want to come. So I tried to take it apart, found out it was way too hard. Then, I tried to put it back together. Well, guess what, it came with no tool on how to put the nut back on, I was like WHAT THE HECK!! HOW DO THEY THINK WE ARE GOING TO FIX THESE PIECES OF JUNK IF ALL THEY DO IS JAM UP AND LEAVE US STRANDED. I wasted [$] and some hard work and elbow greese. I returned it the next day wishing I had enough money for the pulse R72. I am currently saving my money for that gun. That is wat i recommend although it is quite expensive but hey shouldnt you pay a lil bit more for what you really want. (oh yea and did I add that within the 3 hours that I handled it that the paint scratched off, and was already losing the nice color that attracted me to the gun)

Comments about Crosman Crosman SASR36 Tactical Airsoft Rifle:

This is a great gun. It's not really for pros, or really serious airsofters. It's good for base assaults, bunker defense, suppressing fire, ok for CQB (close quarters battles) and all around fighting. the iron (plastic) sight has a wide field of view, but the gun shoots right in the center. This is a great gun for the basic infantry Airsofter. (i like having a little under half of my guys with long range, high accuracy springer rifles) not the best for target shooting but it gets the job done. One thing that gets kinda annoying is that the sling can sometimes get in the way of pulling th lever to prime the spring.Accuracy: (My backyard is almost exactly 100' to the woods so i can judge about how far the bbs travel).12g 40-85' (unpredictable; hooks randomly).20g 70-80' (MUCH more accurate).25g ??-??' (haven't tried these) The Verdict: use Crosman .20g bbs. you can buy 5000 for around [$].By the way, if you plan on using this gun in a war, BUY EXTRA CLIPS!!!!!! they only hold 20 bbs each. I also have the stinger r34, and a lot of people say that ones better, but they are for different things.

This gun is terrible, i bought it and took it home to test it out.
It did not shoot anywhere near 260 fps like it says, the scope on the top was useless and you're better off using the iron sight.

And the spring broke inside the gun after two weeks.

This gun is terrible, sa
