We have used this grill several times camping. We have used it in rain,wind,and just about anything else mother nature could throw at us and it still performed like a champ. Have used it tailgating and the guys next to us wound up using it also due to thiers not lighting. Wish I would have had this grill years earlier.

Got this grill a week ago and tested it at home. Grilled some steaks that came out great. Now I use it at our lakeside swim club. It was fairly easy to get it in and out of the car but I leave it in our locker. Everything we've grilled has come out great and it cleans up easily. Other people at the swim club have admired this grill and asked me where we got it.

We loved our first road trip grill...all of our friends actually went and bought them too. Just recently while we were camping the grill caught fire and was completely destroyed. Whatever you do...NEVER leave this grill unattended. We could have lost alot if we werent keeping a close eye on things that afternoon. Thank god we were able to put the fire out quickly. We are buying another one today to replace the one we lost. They are just wonderful for our camping trips but now we know to watch closely when cooking. Good Luck to everyone...

I considered other camping stoves but thought that this would be more versatile. I also purchased the cast iron griddle and the cooking grate. On it's maiden voyage, we used it to grill burgers and hot dogs on the standard grates, fried bacon and sausage on the griddle and steamed broccoli and heated water on the cooking grate. In all cases, it worked as well or better than expected. The grill and accessories were more heavy duty than I expected and looks like it is built to last. I experienced none of the flare up that other reviewers reported. I have a feeling that someone used to cooking on an electric range may have to go through a learning curve in adjusting to cooking with propane flame.

Purchased for use on the deck of my 2nd floor apartment. Great temperature control, minimal smoking, easily cleaned, perfect size. I feel very safe using it on a 2nd floor deck. This is probably the BEST grill I've purchased. Everything about it feels like a top of the line quality grill. I love it!

This is the 3rd Road Trip that we have had and the 3rd one to Fail. The first one caught on Fire lucky to have extingusher available, Regulator failed on the 2nd one, 3rd erupted into fire had the fire dept pay a visit as it was on the deck of my lake house. The units were rarely used and not abused needs to be a recall on this product. We were fortunate not to sustain property loss I would not reccomend this product.

I bought this grill for my husband last year for Father's Day & it was a huge hit! We use it everywhere we can, and you would be surprised at how awesome the food comes out! It folds up ironing board style and fits right in the trunk of a regular sized car. It is a little heavy, but it has wheels (once it's on the ground, easy to move around!). We clean it right before we use it with little difficulty. It heats up quickly & cools down fast as well. This is a great buy. Highly recommended.

Like the grill. easy to set up and use. Have had two of them and on both the handles broke and the lids keep coming off. If I buy another roadtrip it will be the pro but am giving serious thought to the brinkmann tailgate (model 810-7490-S) I e-mailed Coleman about the problem with the LXE that I had but no response, makes you wonder about coleman.

This grill is a great buy. I got my choice of portable grills for my birthday this year and after much research I decided this would be the right grill for me! I was not disappointed. It gets nice and hot and has the ability to be taken anywhere. I personally use this as my home grill (I live in an apt) and it's nice to take to the beach, etc.

The only downside to this grill is that you have to buy an adapter for large propane tanks. Other than that the small ones last a while. I've done some hefty grilling at least twice so far and I still haven't gotten through one canister of propane.

Just got this grill and used it on Father's Day 2007. Easy setup, fired right up, cooked great, and easy cleanup! If you are looking for a small portable grill with big grill cooking capability, then this is it!

We got this as a gift for our beach house and it's an awesome grill. It fired right up, cooked like a pro, and cleaned up fairly easily. The locking mechanisms were a little stiff but the unit worked out well on the deck.
